2013 Women's Retreat

Ladies, our annual women's retreat is just around the corner, with only 5 weeks to go!  This year, we will be doing Jennifer's Rothschild's study  Missing Pieces.  If you'd like more information on the study, click here. 

Also, here are some important dates to remember: 

January 6th & 13th: Retreat registration upstairs during fellowship time.

February 1st-3rd: Women's retreat at Black Bear Lodge

The prices options for the weekend are:

Full Weekend w/ bed- $80

One Night w/ bed- $40

Full Weekend on Sofa Bed- $60

One Night on Sofa Bed-$30

Attending/Not Staying Overnight- $20

*Prices include meals, lodging, and Missing Pieces study book*

Christmas Party Pics

The ladies of Harvest had a wonderful time Saturday night at our annual Christmas party.  The fellowship hall was decorated like a cozy living room, complete with a crackling fireplace background!  Over the course of the evening, we enjoyed great food, performed reader's theater, made collages for The Caring People ministry, and watched Elf.  If you were unable to join us, we missed you, and hope you'll make it to our retreat in February!

New Women's Bible Study

Join us Wednesday evening, October 10th, at the home of Alice Snyder as we begin our new study James: Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore. If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please contact Ann-Victoria or the church office. 

New Retreat Location

We have once again changed the location for our annual Women's Retreat.  This time, we'll be warm and cozy at the beautiful and spacious Black Bear Lodge down Indian Point.  The lodge is three levels and features 7 king suites, each with its own full bath and television.  We will also have access to an indoor pool and hot tub.  Click here to see more!

The Mentor Project

  By now, you may have noticed our new mission statement : To build and support the community of Harvest by fostering an environment in which women may grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.  One of the best ways we can help the women of Harvest grow in this way is through one-on-one, intentional relationships with other godly women. 

Beginning this Sunday, August 12th, the Harvest Women's Mentor Project will be underway. If you are interested in being a mentor or mentee, please pick up a form from Ann-Victoria Kuenzle or Susan Flores.  We will have a table set-up upstairs after the service.

Women's Ministry Refresh

Last week, the women's ministry team met to discuss ways that we may continue to foster growth and relationships among the women of Harvest, and we are very excited about where we're headed!  In addition to our new Young Mom's Group, we plan on starting a Mentor Project this fall (more details in the coming months).  Our team talked about qualities by which we'd like to be characterized (loving, intentional, authentic, etc.) and came up with our very own motto and logo (pictured above).  Lastly, four things we are going to be more intentional about incorporating into women's ministry are: prayer, service, equipping, and fellowship.  


As is stated in our new mission statement, we are passionate about helping the women of Harvest grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us as we seek to be a body of women who are "Well Loved & Loving Well".

New Group Starting

A new Young Mom's Group will be starting this Tuesday, May 1st. The group is for young moms and their kids, and will be a time to share, pray, and play together.  We'll meet at the church from noon to two and share a potluck lunch together (bring your favorite dish!).  For more information, contact Erica Marshall or Ann-Victoria Kuenzle.

Easter Choir

On Easter Sunday there will be a song sung by a special choir of women  Ladies who would like to take part in this should go through the Souper Sunday line first so they can get back upstairs to practice.

March WTTH

Join us Tuesday night at the home of Paige Ray for some good, laid back hangout time with Harvest women.  The fun will begin at 6:30 pm!

Pure Joy 2012

  Just a reminder that PURE JOY Branson will be Friday, March 2nd at 7PM @ Tri-Lakes Center

 2527 Hwy. 248, Branson, MO.  

We'd like to encourage you to arrive early.  Doors will open at 5:30.  There will be a concession stand open from 5:30-6:50 and several non-profit tables to checkout prior to start time.  We will also have t-shirts available for $10 and Hooded Sweatshirts for $25.  This year we will be having a professional 3 camera crew there editing the service live and DVD's will be available for $20 immediately afterward.

We are super excited to see what God's going to do.  Please invite all the gals you know, ages 15-115, and get ready for a fun evening.  Can't wait to see your smilin' faces Friday night!

WTTH at Elisha's

February's WWTH will be tonight at Elisha Rapinchuk's home and will have a little Mardi Gras flair, as it is Fat Tuesday!  There will be homeade King Cake, coffee, and games. So put on your purple, green, and yellow, and join us.  And as they say in Louisiana, "Laissez les bons temps rouler."

Retreat Recap & Pics

Over 30 Harvest ladies (plus one little guy) gathered at Tall Pines last weekend for our annual retreat.  As usual, we enjoyed delicious food, fun games, and wonderful fellowship.  We were also challenged by Beth Moore's Loving Well talks to love the "Joy", "Testy", "Foe", and "Far" in our lives. Directions to Retreat

From Springfield, Mo take 65 S.

Continue on route 65 past Branson.

(Note:  Look for the Lowe’s sign on your left as you pass by Branson. One supermarket, Country Mart, is in that complex of stores. To your right, behind McDonalds is Harter House, famous for their meats.)

You will continue on 65 another (8-9 min.) to route 86.

Make a right onto 86 (you will be heading west.)

Continue on 86 over Long Creek Bridge. (about 9 min.) Go approx. 2.5 more miles past bridge and make a right onto UU. (UU is well marked)

Go 0.9 miles and you will see our sign Tall Pines on your right.

Turn right onto a gravel road driveway.

Continue down the driveway. You will pass the barn and well house on your right.

Look for a sign that looks like a deer. It points to all the houses on the property.

Our log house, The Refuge, is straight ahead of you. The Sanctuary and Hiding Place are off to the right.

Note: Guests have told us that the GPS distances are not accurate, so keep these directions handy. Do not solely rely on your GPS!


*Please be sure to check-in at the Carriage House, then you may drive your vehicle down to your cabin.

This year's first Women's Third Tuesday Hangout will take place at the home of Dori Rapinchuk at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, January 17th.  Join us for coffee, dessert, and some good ole hangin' out.

God is going to do some great things, we just know it!
